Cym Tribute: Frown to Smile

Wearing an icy gown, she stands alone
A kingdom of snow is where she rests her throne

Powerful and strong, a beacon to all
No one would imagine that she'd ever fall

For despite the riches that filled up her land
A frown owned her face, for alone she did stand

Unchanging, everlasting, so was her life
In denial she remained of her own strife

But it suddenly changed, all in the drop of a pin
From far away lands they did come marching in

They came with such charms, without being shy
Their voices did not betray their lie

But she didn't know, nor did she care
For she accepted their offer that seemed so fair

So in they came to take what they may
Her opinions and comments, they kept them at bay

Once they were done and had taken all they can
They brought her with them to their far away land

So warm it was, and snow fell so seldom
Such difference it was, compared to her kingdom

Many more people joined in their house
14 people in total, no room for a mouse

They had many rules and created many laws
When it came to her opinions, they didn't matter at all

But she didn't whine, she took it all in good grace
For finally she free to wear a smile upon her face
