No You Don't...

Out of the four human friends, it wasn't hard to see that Jade was the luckiest. The other three were all more than aware of this. Jade, on the other hand, probably had no idea. How could she, when she barely knew any other human contact? She'd lucked out to find these three, not some other brat like they had to deal with.

GG: hey guys : D

Jade smiled happily to herself as she typed out her bright green message. It had been a long day, waiting for her close friends to return home. It was lonely, those few hours when they were all gone to school and she was stuck alone on her island. She wished sometimes that she could go to public school like all of them, just for even a day to see what it was like.

GG: how was school??

Three different grimaces broke out on three separate faces at the same time. All three hesitated in their answering, idly scrolling the mouse wheel as they thought how to properly answer their innocent minded friend.

"How goes the dam building, beaver boy?"

GT: lots of fun!

"Better watch out, or the big bad goth will put a curse on you!"

TT: Uneventful.

"You aren't fooling anyone with your lame shades, you dweeb!"

TG: boring as hell

GG: aww!

A jealous pout covered Jade's face as she typed. Her friends were so lucky.

GG: i wish i could go to public school with other kids!

Three small, bitter smiles took over at the blaring green reply. They'd feel guilty for lying for her, if they didn't know for a fact that they were protecting her. Saving her innocent. Keeping her trustful in their rotten world.

No, you don't…

They'd never tell her though.
